Appreciation post: That one perfect Tuesday last month where no brain rot videos caught me
I swear last Tuesday was cursed then blessed. Scrolled through TikTok for 20 minutes and every single video was either a fake life hack or someone eating frozen honey. But then I caught a 3-second clip of a guy actually fixing a sink with real tools, no music no voiceover. It was like finding a diamond in a garbage dump. Has anyone else stumbled on a genuinely useful short video that wasn't trying to sell you something?

It's wild how rare those moments are now... I found one last week where a dude was just sharpening a kitchen knife with a stone. No music, no "link in bio," no dumb sound effects. Just the scraping noise and him explaining why you go slow. I must have watched it five times because it felt like my brain could finally rest for a second.

Is it really that serious though? I get the appeal of a chill sharpening video but watching the same clip five times because your brain can rest sounds like a you problem, @grace_knight19. I saw a video of a guy pressure washing a driveway last week and it was satisfying but I didn't need to bookmark it for my mental health. These platforms are designed to rot your brain regardless of the content. You might just be projecting meaning onto random clips because the other stuff is so bad.
