Just realized I was watching those 'satisfying' videos wrong for years
I used to scroll through those oddly satisfying short videos where they cut soap or squeeze slime and just zone out. But last week my friend pointed out that half of them are fake. She showed me a clip where the foam was clearly just shaving cream and the sound was dubbed in. I went back and checked like 10 of my favorite channels and 7 of them had obvious editing tricks. Now I can't unsee the bad knife work and fake squishes. Anyone else find a whole trend that was a lie after someone called it out?

Man I feel personally attacked right now because I literally binged a whole channel last night that was just someone "cutting" what I now realize was probably wet cardboard with bad audio over it. The worst part is I got genuinely mad at first when I found out, like how dare they ruin my relaxation time with lies, you know? But then I thought about it and realized I'd been getting fooled by the soap carving ones for years too, just staring at some guy pretending to slice perfectly through a bar of soap with a dull knife. I swear half these creators just have a weird side hustle making fake squish noises into a microphone.

Yeah it's like half of life's just realizing you fell for a filter.

lol yeah I once argued with my cousin for ten minutes about a video of a "pet fox" that was just someone's dog with a filter.
