Tried that viral "90s filter" trend to make photos look retro, ended up looking like a faded VHS tape from a horror movie
I downloaded the app everyone's using and applied the filter to a selfie, but it turned my face into grainy static with a creepy audio glitch that wouldn't stop. Has anyone else gotten a cursed result from one of these dumb filters?

That horror movie look actually happened to a friend of mine too, she tried a retro filter on a video of her birthday party and it turned everything into this weird static nightmare with a deep demonic voice overlay... Really makes you wonder who tested these apps before they launched them. Maybe the developers just assumed everyone wants their memories to look like cursed found footage.

Man that sounds terrible. I totally get it. I tried one of those vintage filters last week and it made my dog look like she was from a bad 80s security tape. The audio crackle is real, it kept glitching and repeating like a broken record. You're not alone in getting the cursed version. Some of these apps just go way too hard on the "degraded" effect. Hope you can laugh about it now because those things are basically a coin flip.
