Why does every crypto 'explainer' video have to start with a guy in a ski mask dancing?
I scrolled past three of those yesterday and they all had the same intro, some dude wearing a balaclava doing a TikTok dance before talking about blockchain. Is there some rule I missed that says you can't just start with the actual info?

Made the mistake of trying to copy one of those dances for my own crypto video and almost gave myself a concussion with my own laptop. Now I just start with "here's blockchain" and hope nobody asks for a refund.

Wait, are you saying just jumping into the explanation works better than trying to make it entertaining? I gotta disagree with you a bit there @cole_murphy. I think the whole reason people click on crypto stuff is because they're already bored or confused, so a little fun hook actually helps them pay attention. But you're right that the dance thing is a total trap, I tried doing a dramatic zoom in on my face while talking about DeFi and knocked over my coffee. The real trick is finding something that's not dangerous but still breaks the ice, like a quick meme or a bad joke about gas fees before you get into the serious part. Most folks just want to know you're not a robot before they trust you with their wallet info.

Wait, you actually got hurt doing that? I thought it was just a joke but now I'm genuinely worried about the whole 'crypto creators trying to be influencers' thing. So do you think the bare bones approach actually converts better for you, or are people just watching out of pity because they saw you almost faceplant? Like, are you getting more wallet signups or just more comments about your safety?
