I finally switched from a 4 foot level to a 6 foot for brick veneer

For like 6 years I used a 4 footer on all my veneer jobs, thinking it was plenty. Last month on a garage in Akron, the courses kept drifting about a quarter inch over 12 feet, and I couldn't figure out why. Swapped to a 6 foot spirit level mid-wall and the correction was almost instant, my lines tightened right up. The longer level catches those tiny humps in the block that a shorter one just skips over. Only downside is it's a beast to haul up scaffolding solo, but the reduced rework is worth it. Anyone else run into this on long walls, or do you just trust string lines?

Yeah, my 4 footer's still bragging it caught more walls than my 6 footer ever will.
