inJust realized my old knee pads were wrecking my work
Honestly, a bent trowel would drive me nuts way before it got that bad.

inHad a homeowner in Phoenix ask me to stamp a paw print pattern for his cat
Man that's wild lol. @avery_flores, I keep thinking about the client's side of it, like they had this whole vision for a single perfect thing in a huge floor. The pressure wasn't just on your buddy to not mess up, but on that little marble to actually look right once it was surrounded by all that tile. One tiny blue spot in a whole shower, you'd have to hope it doesn't just look like a mistake or something you dropped.

inAppreciation post: That viral tweet breakdown on sleep schedules made me a believer
Honestly @the_eric, trying to pick between cutting screens or keeping a schedule is like asking which leg you need to walk. You kind of need both. My own sad experiment proved that going to bed at the same time but still scrolling just left me tired and fully updated on random internet drama. The blue light tricks your brain into thinking it's noon, so consistency just means you're regularly lying there awake. Ditching the phone was the final piece that actually made the early bedtime work.

inShoutout to the old guy at the scrap yard who told me to try quenching a piece of rebar in old motor oil.
Man, that combo is wild but it kinda makes sense... the ATF has detergents and the brake fluid is crazy hygroscopic, so it probably pulls heat out in a weird two-stage way. I've heard of guys adding a splash of acetone to old oil for the same reason, it changes the vapor phase. You get that hard shell but the core stays a bit tougher. The smell must be absolutely unholy though.

inQuestion about a Chicago parking ticket I got last winter. Paid a $75 late fee because the city website was down.
Ugh, you can contest those online payment issues (I've done it).
