Don't sleep on store brand spices - I was so wrong

I used to swear by the name brand spices and thought the store brand would be watery or fake tasting. Then I did a blind taste test with my roommate using cumin and paprika from Aldi - 3 out of 4 people picked the store brand as better. Am I the only one who wasted money on fancy labels for years?

I read that Aldi actually uses the same suppliers as McCormick for most of their spices.
