Unpopular opinion: That week I spent $10 on rice and beans was not worth it
Last spring I tried the whole rice and beans every meal thing for a week. Everyone online swears it saves money and tastes fine. But after day three of black beans and white rice, I felt sick and had no energy. I was cranky and snappy at work. My grocery bill that week was only $10, sure, but I ended up buying fast food twice because I couldn't stomach another bowl. I think the popular opinion skips over how boring and hard it gets. Has anyone else tried this and just hated it?
