Slept in a $19 hostel bunk in Prague instead of a $95 hotel room, and the hostel won by a mile
Last April I booked one night at a cheap hostel near the old town just to save cash, fully expecting to hate it. Turns out the free walking tour crew and the shared kitchen saved me about $60 on food and tours that weekend, while my buddy in the hotel paid for every meal alone and met nobody. Has anyone else found that the cheapest place to sleep ends up being the better trip?
