My $4 spreadsheet formula killed a $60/month subscription

I kept paying for a cloud backup service I barely used. One Sunday I realized Google Sheets could track my important files across two drives with a simple VLOOKUP, so I canceled the subscription and moved everything to a free folder structure. Has anyone else found a boring office tool that replaced a paid service?
