The 17 cent envelope trick I spotted at the post office in Philly

I saw a guy sorting his mail in line and he had this system of reusing every envelope by flipping it inside out, saved him like 40 bucks a month on bills. Anyone else do stuff like that with everyday mail, or am I just cheap?
