Spent 45 minutes looking for a pen I was already holding

I sat down to set up my weekly spread and spent a full 45 minutes tearing my desk apart for my favorite black Pilot G2, only to realize it was tucked behind my ear the whole time. My cat watched me the entire time with that judging look they get, and I swear she was laughing at me. Has anyone else had a silly moment like this where your bullet journal setup made you feel like a complete fool?

And the worst part is you can't even be mad because you're just sitting there thinking "well, I guess this is who I am now." I once spent twenty minutes looking for my phone while I was using it as a flashlight to search under the couch for a missing stencil. My dog just laid his head on his paws and sighed at me like he was disappointed in my life choices.

Oh man, I feel this so hard. It was probably like 10pm on a Tuesday and I had my whole planner laid out with washi tape samples everywhere, rummaging through every drawer and bag I own. My dog just stared at me with his head tilted like I was losing my mind. I bet your cat was totally laughing at you, mine does the same thing when I do something silly like that. The worst part is when you finally find it and you just have to sit there and accept your own stupidity for a solid minute before you can move on. Honestly though, those moments are what make bullet journaling feel so real and human, even if they make you feel like a complete fool lol.

Wait, your dog tilted its head at you while you were on a washi tape mission?! That's hilarious and way too specific, I love it. My cat does this slow blink thing like she's judging my entire life choices when I'm crawling under my desk for a missing pen. It's the acceptance moment that kills me, sitting there holding the pen like "what is wrong with me" while the pet just watches. Those little quirks make the whole hobby feel so cozy and ridiculous at the same time, exactly how you described.
