Unpopular opinion: I actually think minimalist bullet journals are overrated

I tried the whole bare-bones approach for 3 months after seeing everyone rave about it, but my spreads kept falling apart because I needed more structure to actually track habits and tasks. Has anyone else found that a little decoration or color coding helps them stick with it better than the stripped-down version?

Used to think minimal was the only way but you're right, structure beats aesthetic every time.

Same here. Cluttered just feels chaotic now once you organize things.

You ever had that moment where you realize you've been doing it all backwards? My buddy Marco redid his whole living room with all these fancy minimalist shelves and blank walls. Looked nice in photos but he could never find his remote or his keys. He finally caved and added a corkboard with hooks and a little basket for mail. Now it's not pretty at all but he says he actually leaves the house on time. Structure over style every time man.
