Why does nobody talk about how long learning to french a rack actually takes?

I spent 6 months thinking I was an idiot because every video online made frenching a rack of lamb look like a 10 minute job. Took me over 40 trys before I got one that looked halfway presentable, and even then I had a guy at the counter in Tulsa ask if my lamb had a limp. The problem is nobody shows the failed ones, the nicked meat, the uneven bones, the hours of wasted trim. I finally found an old school butcher who had me do it 15 times in one sitting and talked me through each mistake. It was brutal but that single day did more than all the online tutorials combined. Has anyone else spent way longer on a basic looking skill than the pros make it seem? What was your reality check moment?

That 40 trys thing hits close to home. My wife and I tried to fix a leaky faucet for three weekends straight, and every YouTube video had it done in 8 minutes with some dude who never even got his hands wet. Turns out the old copper pipes in our house had a weird fitting that nobody online had ever seen. The real kicker is that these skills are never about the actual task, theyre about all the tiny weird variations nobody films. Now I tell everyone that the internet is great for recipes but terrible for anything that involves your hands and a specific house or animal.
