Flea market find from 2012 still runs better than my new stuff
Found an old cassette deck at a swap meet outside Dallas for 12 bucks last fall. The belts were toast but my uncle fixed it in an hour, and it sounds warmer than the expensive digital rig I use now. Anyone else hold onto older tech because it just keeps working, or am I just stuck in the past?

My grandma had this old Kirby vacuum from like the 70s and that thing weighed a ton but it picked up stuff my fancy shark never could. She passed it to my mom and it finally died in 2019, only because a repair guy said the motor was done and parts didnt exist anymore. My mom actually cried a little which sounds silly over a vacuum but she'd had it for like 40 years. Meanwhile I've been through three of those stick vacuums in five years. They just dont build stuff to last anymore and it drives me nuts.
