Appreciation post for the foreman who told me to stop using my drill as a hammer

Was out on a job in Omaha last month and kept struggling with a stubborn coax connector. My foreman finally just said "put that drill down and use your fingers like a human." Turns out I was overtightening every connector and causing signal loss. Has anyone else had a simple habit that a coworker called out for being totally wrong?

Guilty of using pliers as a hammer last week. Oops.

Pliers are actually meant for gripping and cutting, not for hitting things... the jaw design can crack or chip if you smack something hard with them. Leverage force is totally different than impact force. Plus, the pivot pin can bend out of shape pretty easily if you're not careful. Better to just grab a proper hammer or even a heavy wrench that's built for tapping on stuff. Sorry to be that guy but I've ruined a few tools learning this lesson the hard way.

Guilty of using my tape measure as a back scratcher until my boss walked in and told me I was bending the blade. Now I just grab a screwdriver like a normal person.
