Spent 2 hours chasing a signal drop in a basement today

Turned out to be a bad barrel connector hidden behind a drop ceiling tile someone put in 15 years ago. Wish I would've just looked up first instead of checking every other possible spot. Anyone else find old work that makes you question who installed it?

And then you find a 3-in-1 coffee cup someone wedged in there too.

Tbh I never got the whole fuss about finding a coffee cup wedged in the tow line. I actually see it as a good sign. It means someone else was out there putting the work in and probably just forgot it. Ngl I've found all kinds of junk stuffed in those reels and a coffee cup is honestly one of the least offensive things. I'd much rather dig out a forgotten cup than deal with a sharp piece of metal or a fish hook someone left behind. It's just part of the deal when you're sharing a spot with other guys who are grinding just like you.
