After decades, my manual coffee percolator still beats any fancy gadget
I've had this same percolator since my first camping trip in the 90s (a hand-me-down from my uncle, actually). It takes a bit longer than newer methods, but the coffee always tastes just right. Last weekend, it brewed a pot while everyone else's fancy gear fizzled out in the damp. That little win made the whole morning better.

Nice! Gotta clean the tube regularly, trust me.

Man, I learned that the hard way last summer when I skipped a few cleanings. Had a tube get so clogged it basically quit on me halfway through a project. Nothing like a sudden failure to make you appreciate regular upkeep, right? Now I clean it so often it's probably cleaner than my kitchen sink, which is saying something. But following that simple advice really does save you from a huge mess later on. Sometimes the boring maintenance is what keeps everything from falling apart.

Wait, I actually kind of disagree with you there @thomas256. Sometimes cleaning things too much can wear them out faster or cause other issues. Honestly, I just follow the manual's schedule and it's always worked fine for me.
