Noticed the basement had flooded with old food from a broken freezer. Landlord said he'd "look into it" for the third week in a row. Just looked at that nasty water, figured out I was done, and started boxing my stuff.

Honestly, it was the smell. My last place had a weird damp odor that just wouldn't quit. I tried everything, then one day I realized the smell was coming from inside the wall. That was the moment I started looking at boxes.
