Rant: That influencer's apology video felt like a bad movie

Last week I saw that big apology video from the travel vlogger who got caught lying about a trip. The whole thing was shot in soft light with sad piano music, and she cried exactly three times. It felt super staged, like she was reading lines. Honestly it made me wonder if anyone actually buys these anymore. Has anyone else seen an apology that just felt totally fake?

You think that's bad? I once tried to write an apology text and it sounded like a corporate press release. It's all so fake now, you can't tell what's real.
