That third apology after the screenshots leak always sounds the fakest

Noticed with three different YouTubers this year they all gave a sorry-not-sorry statement first, then a lawyer statement second, and only cried on camera when the brand deals pulled out - has anyone else seen this exact pattern play out?

Nah, that third apology is the fakest one of all. Colby from last year did the crying bit only after his merch sales tanked. The first two were lawyer talk, sure, but that third one was just a desperate grab to keep the patreon money coming. These guys don't cry about hurting people, they cry about hurting their income. Once the brand deals are gone, they're not suddenly honest, they're just panicking.

Gotta say, the third apology was the one that finally felt real to me when something similar happened in my world. My oldest kid's soccer coach messed up real bad last season, said some stuff he shouldn't have to the refs and parents. First two apologies were these long emails full of excuses about stress and the refs being unfair. Nobody bought it, half the team quit. Then he shows up to practice two weeks later, no email, no script, just sat us down and started crying saying he let the kids down and didn't know how to fix it. That hit different because there was no upside for him anymore with most of the team gone and parents demanding his head. Did any of those youtubers actually follow through with changed behavior after the third apology, or was it just more words?

Gotta push back on this a bit because sometimes that third apology is actually the most real. When you've messed up bad and the money is gone, there's nothing left to fake it for. That's when people finally face the music with no safety net. Plus some of these creators are young and dumb, they genuinely don't get the damage until they see real consequences like lost sponsorships and fans leaving. The first two apologies are usually damage control written by a team, but that third one is just them alone in a room realizing they blew up their whole career.
