Unpopular opinion: Kevin Hart's apology tour felt fake to me
I watched that whole thing go down in summer 2018 when he stepped down from hosting the Oscars. He said sorry like three times on Twitter and in interviews but it all felt rehearsed, like he just wanted his paycheck back. Meanwhile, someone like Michael B. Jordan actually took time off and worked with a diversity coach for 6 months after that rum ad. Has anyone else noticed that bigger stars just hire PR teams instead of actually changing their ways?

Hesitate before accepting the $50k figure, that sounds way higher than what most crisis firms actually charge.

wait did anyone else see that interview where kevin hart said "i apologized, what else do you want from me"? like bro, thats not how accountability works. my cousin works in media and she told me that a lot of celebs pay these crisis management firms like $50k+ just to write apology statements for them. makes you wonder if they ever learn anything.

Man, that whole thing rubbed me the wrong way too. I actually had a similar situation at work last year where I messed up on a project and my first instinct was to just say sorry and move on. But my boss sat me down and explained that a real apology means showing you understand why it hurt and what you're gonna do different next time. So I had to go back to the team and actually listen to their feedback instead of just saying the words. It was uncomfortable but it actually fixed things. I wonder if these celebs ever get that kind of honest feedback or if they're just surrounded by yes men.
