Watched a comedian's apology video 3 times and still can't tell if he's sorry

I was at a comedy club in Austin last Saturday and saw this guy bomb so hard he started arguing with the crowd. Now he posted a 12 minute apology on YouTube but he keeps smirking at weird moments. Do you think a smirk means it's fake or is that just his face?

Could the smirk be a nervous tic from the bomb?

Nah, that smirk was way too deliberate for a nervous tic lol.

Paul_ramirez is right that smirk was too controlled to be a nervous tic. I've watched enough apology videos to know the difference between uncomfortable twitching and someone trying to HIDE their real feelings. My own SMIRK problem is way worse though - I smile when I'm nervous during serious conversations and once apologized to my neighbor for her dog dying with a big grin on my face. She still gives me dirty looks in the hallway and I can't blame her. Comedians should know better than to smirk through an apology, that's like basic professionalism. Either he's not actually sorry or he's got the same face problem I do, but at LEAST I'm not on YouTube doing it.
