DAE have a week where 3 recruiters call and then nothing for 5 months

Two weeks ago I got 3 calls in 4 days for jobs paying $15k more than mine, and this week my inbox is dead silent. Is the market just this random now or am I missing something about timing with budgets and hiring cycles?
