Why does nobody talk about how many entry level jobs now want 3 years of experience
I was poking around job boards over the weekend and counted 14 postings in my city for "entry level" roles that all asked for 2 to 3 years of experience. One listing in Denver wanted a bachelor's degree plus 3 years for $19 an hour. I keep wondering if this is just how things are now or if some companies do it to filter people out. Has anyone here actually gotten one of these jobs with no prior experience?
so we're all just supposed to have 3 years of experience before we get our first job now? guess I should've started my career in the womb. saw one last week asking for a bachelor's plus 2 years for a front desk gig paying 17 bucks an hour, like what is even happening. pretty soon they'll want a master's to work the drive thru. the funniest part is the same companies cry about nobody wanting to work, while they post fake entry level jobs that want a whole resume. at some point entry level just means "we want someone with experience but we don't wanna pay for it.
