I never kept count until a customer asked how many I'd made, so I added up my order records and couldn't believe it. That number made me realize how steady repetition has sharpened my cuts and assembly speed without me even noticing. Anyone else hit a milestone that surprised them in this trade?

Just read somewhere that this actually triggers the same reward center in the brain as winning a small bet. Apparently it's called the 'incidental windfall effect' or something like that. Makes sense why finding a crumpled $20 in old jeans feels better than getting paid.
