Stopped using finish nails for baseboards after 20 years in Columbus

I used to set every baseboard with 18 gauge nails and pray the trim didn't shift overnight. Three months ago I switched to a pin nailer with glue and it cuts my install time by 30 percent on a typical 1,800 square foot house. The pins leave holes you can barely see, and the glue locks the miters tight so no more callbacks for popping corners. Has anyone else made the jump to pin nailers and glue for their trim work?
