TIL a $12 marking gauge from a garage sale in Toledo cut my layout time on a 40 drawer job
Picked up an old Stanely gauge at an estate sale on Dorr Street about 3 months ago, mostly because it was cheap and looked solid. Used it on a kitchen job with 40 drawer fronts last month and my layout marks went way faster than with my pencil and combo square. I marked every rail twice and nothing shifted. Curious if anyone here still runs a wheel gauge or if you all moved on to something else.
