Tried a 12v trim router for a job, the battery died faster than my patience

Last week I took a 12v trim router to a small kitchen job in Austin, thinking it would be lighter on my wrist for the edge banding. I got through maybe two feet of oak before the battery dipped, and I had to switch back to my corded one, which felt like dragging a tank after that. The surprise was the cut quality was actually smoother, no tearout on the end grain at all, so it's not a total loss. Anyone else keep a cordless tool around just for the finish even if it's useless for real work?
