Can we talk about the whole 'A-list couple is secretly divorcing' rumor from last Thursday?

Every outlet ran with that blind item, but I checked the original source and it was a fan fiction blog from 2021. Has anyone else noticed how often gossip sites recycle old, fake stories?

Look at it this way. They need clicks to make money. Old fake stories are easy content. Who gets hurt? It's just dumb gossip. Not like it changes anything real. People should just ignore it.
