I used to roll my eyes at celebrity astrologers until one called out a breakup 3 days before the tabloids
Last Tuesday I was scrolling and this astrologer I always thought was full of it said Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco were about to go through a rough patch because of Mercury in retrograde or whatever. I literally laughed and kept scrolling. Then Friday morning my sister texts me with a Page Six link about them having a huge fight at which point I went back and watched the whole video again. She named the exact day it would start. Still not sure if I believe in astrology but that was way too specific to be a coincidence. Anyone else ever have a fortune teller or tarot reader nail something about a celebrity before the news broke?

Nah I gotta push back on the "confirmation bias" thing. You're acting like this was some vague "you'll meet someone new" nonsense but she literally named the exact date and the specific person. That's a lot different than throwing darts blindfolded. If I say "Tom Holland will have a public argument with someone on October 12th" and it happens, that's way too specific to wave off as just luck.

Oh FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. I'm sorry but this is just confirmation bias at its finest. The astrologer probably makes a hundred vague predictions a week and you only remember the one that happened to line up with a tabloid story. If she was SO accurate why doesn't she just tell us the exact date of the next big world event instead of celebrity drama? It's not that deep. People fight every day so calling a breakup is like throwing darts blindfolded and acting shocked when you hit the board.

but like... are we really acting like one lucky guess means we gotta take astrology seriously now? @samrodriguez i get what youre saying but the astrologer literally makes like 50 predictions a week across different people. of course one of them is gonna hit eventually. its the same reason why psychics on youtube just spam a bunch of stuff about "a fire sign" or "someone from your past" and people eat it up. honestly this whole thing is just fun drama until people start acting like its proof of magic or whatever.
