Last year at a party, soap curls were next to the crackers. Looked just like parmesan. This happens so much. My mom has those decorative soaps shaped like fruit. My nephew tried to bite one once. Our brains are too quick to assume food.
It's wild how our brains just go straight to food with certain shapes and colors. Like those fancy bath bombs that look like cupcakes with sprinkles, or those clear glycerin soaps with flower petals inside that look like fancy jelly candies. Even the texture can trick you, like those creamy, whipped soap bars that look like frosting. Makes you wonder if soap makers are doing this on purpose sometimes, lol.
Stored decorative soaps in a clear jar with a label after my cousin almost ate one. It was shaped like a lemon and sat in a fruit bowl, totally confusing. Tbh, just putting a "SOAP" sticker on the jar saved a lot of trouble. @rowan_lane, your hotel cookie soap story shows how common this is. Honestly, now I keep all fancy soaps far from where we eat.
