That stat about 90% of clickbait headlines using the word 'you' blew my mind
I read it on a media analysis blog from 2023 and now I can't unsee it. Is that the magic trick they all lean on or just a coincidence?

I just listened to a podcast episode that broke down the same study from 2023 and it really opened my eyes too. I used to think clickbait was mostly about numbers or shocking statements, but now I notice the word "you" everywhere once you look for it. For example, those recipe sites that say "You need to try this 3 ingredient pasta" or "The one thing you always forget before vacation." It makes sense though because it feels personal, like the headline is talking directly to you and your own habits. I guess it works because nobody wants to feel left out of a tip that could make their life easier.

Yeah @jenny198 but does that "you" trick actually work on you?
