inThose cheap motor oil filters from the auto parts store almost killed my engine after a trip to Flagstaff
Switched to a Wix filter after seeing the same thing on my old truck's dipstick. @zara_sanchez I did a full oil change twice back to back to flush the system out, then ran a cheap oil for 500 miles before switching to my normal stuff. No more shavings after that, so I'm guessing the Fram was the issue all along. That orange can design is just asking for trouble with those cardboard end caps.

inCleaned my 500th elevator pit today and it hit me
...and I'm sitting here thinking, is that really that deep? I mean, 500 pits is a lot, sure, but who's counting except maybe the guy logging it for his own amusement. Feels like one of those things that sounds more meaningful than it actually is, you know? Like a milestone that doesn't really mean much beyond a number in a notebook. Anyway, the rat family story is way more interesting than hitting a round number. That's the kind of thing that actually sticks with you.

inUsed to believe those fake charity posts on Facebook until I lost $50 to a scam in Detroit
Ugh that's ROUGH. I've almost fallen for a few of those myself, it's way too easy to get hooked by a sad story.

inI finally picked wet curing over curing compound on a big slab in Phoenix
That pace means you're barely giving the mud time to flash dry between coats... in Phoenix heat you'd be fighting cracking and checking the whole way. Best to at least rough in the bed first then come back for the tight coat when the first pass has had a solid day to set up. Rushing that much square footage just leads to callbacks and headaches down the road.
