That YouTube thumbnail showing a '5 minute car dent fix' with a plunger was a complete lie for me

I tried that stupid trick from YouTube where you pour hot water on a dent and then use a plunger to pop it out. The thumbnail showed a perfect car panel after 5 minutes, but I spent 45 minutes in my driveway in Phoenix last August with steam coming off the pavement. My 2009 Honda Civic still had a big crease in the door afterwards, and my neighbor came over to ask if I was trying to unclog the car. Has anyone actually gotten that method to work on anything bigger than a golf ball sized dent?

Start swinging that plunger in Phoenix heat and you're asking for trouble, man. @phoenix_martin40 you and me both got played by that thumbnail. It's like how every quick fix video cuts the boring part where you realize a dent from a truck backing into you isn't coming out with hot water and rubber suction. I swear these YouTube guys make it look easy because they're working on brand new aluminum panels in a 70 degree garage. Forty five minutes in the driveway with the sun cooking me just turned a two inch crease into a slightly less noticeable crease covered in soap residue.

Yeah the "5 minute fix" thumbnail made me look like a fool with a wet plunger too.
