That time a coolant line turned my shop floor into a slip and slide
Honestly, I was running a big batch of 4140 parts on the old Haas, and a hose clamp gave out on the main coolant line right at the pump. Ngl, it sprayed across the whole bay for a good 30 seconds before I could hit the e-stop, and the floor was a skating rink. Anyone ever have a mess that just makes you stop and laugh at the chaos?

Skating rink" is right, I used to think coolant leaks were no big deal until one took out my ankles.

Took out my ankles" seems a bit dramatic. It's just some oily water on the floor. I've seen worse from a spilled coffee. You just walk a bit slower, maybe wipe your boots on a rag. It's not like you're trying to do ballet next to the lathe.

Tell troychen he's never seen a real flood. That stuff is slicker than ice. It's not about walking slow, it's about zero grip. One wrong lean and you're down hard. Seen it happen.
