Shoutout to the old school finishers who taught me about timing

I did a driveway last week in Omaha that reminded me of jobs I did back in 2008 with my uncle. Back then we'd wait for the bleed water to burn off naturally no matter what. Now everybody's out there with a blower or a rake trying to speed things up. Has anyone else noticed the finish just doesn't hold up as well when you rush that initial set?

@olivia_white93 - mother nature's still better at timing than any tool we own.

Bleed water knows no shortcuts. A blower just pushes that moisture deeper into the slab, and you end up with a weak surface that dusts out on you later. What's your go-to for telling when it's ready for that first pass?

Yeah I just eyeball it and hope for the best, usually works out about half the time.
