Took me 4 hours to fix a 2 inch dip in my own driveway
Poured a small pad last Saturday. Thought I had it flat. Come back 20 minutes later and there's this low spot right by the edge. Tried to screed it again but it was already setting up. Ended up mixing a half bag of Quikrete and patching it twice. Should have just pulled the stake and reworked the form. Has anyone else spent way too long fixing something that should have been caught in 5 minutes?

I read somewhere that concrete always looks flat until it stiffens up. That's the trap.

Spent an entire Saturday chasing a low spot in my paver patio that was maybe a quarter inch off. Every time I pulled a paver to add sand, I messed up the ones next to it. Ended up re-laying about 40 pavers just to fix one corner. My back was sore for three days and my wife kept asking why I was still out there. Sometimes you just gotta laugh at how hard we make simple stuff.
