Stopped trying to change my mom's mind directly and just started replying to the group chat with a screenshot of the actual sample size every single time she posted one of those. After about a month of getting the same treatment, she started checking the study link herself before forwarding anything. It also helped to ask her "who paid for this one" instead of arguing about the numbers, because the money question is easier for her to remember and look for on her own.

40 bucks a month just from the round up button is wild, that's basically a car payment if you stretch it out over a year. I hit yes on those prompts on autopilot too and never once stopped to add up what it actually costs me. Good call switching to the real lane where a person has to look you in the eye.

I had the same thing happen at like 300 clips and my phone just refused to take new pics. What saved me was dumping the whole folder onto a cheap external drive I got for like 20 bucks, then just wiping the ones I never rewatched. Turns out I only actually rewatch maybe 40 of them.
