Remember when leaked docs actually took weeks to verify, not 3 hours?

Back in 2009 I remember waiting like a week for a leaked PDF to get picked apart by actual forum heads before anyone took it serious, now people are screaming fake or real within 20 minutes of a blurry screenshot and nobody fact-checks the source, has anyone else noticed the whole timeline just collapsed on itself?

Wait, is that really how it used to work though? I'll be honest, I used to think the old way was slower because people were lazy, but reading this made me realize it was actually about being careful. These days someone posts a blurry photo and within an hour there's a whole war in the comments, half saying it's fake because the font is slightly off and the other half swearing it's real because they saw a similar thing once. The whole thing just feels like a race to be first instead of a race to be right, and that's totally backwards. I miss when the crowd worked together to check stuff, not against each other.
