The moment my 'harmless' geomancy reading went sideways in Reno

Last fall I was at a friend's place near the Truckee River, tossing pebbles for a quick divination session, just for fun. Four marks lined up in a pattern I'd never seen, and my buddy got spooked real bad, saying it matched a prediction his grandpa made in 1998. I laughed it off, but two days later his car got repo'd and the mailman delivered a letter from a lawyer about his property line. I still don't know if it was coincidence or something else, but I haven't touched the pebbles since. Has anyone else had a reading that hit too close to home like that?

Put the pebbles in salt water for three days... that clears whatever attached itself to them.
