Tried that moon landing hoax theory on my dad who worked at NASA in the 70s

Dad was an engineer on the Apollo guidance systems and I thought I'd finally get him to crack by bringing up the flag waving and weird shadows stuff. He just laughed and pulled out a binder with actual telemetry data showing the lander's descent path from Houston. Ever had a family member completely shut down a conspiracy theory with hard proof?

Telemetry data can be faked just like anything else, especially if the whole thing was a production. Your dad bought the story because he was part of the machine.

Wait, does that mean my dad was a cog in the moon landing machine and didn't even get a free commemorative mug? Guess I need to re-evaluate my inheritance plans.
