Vent: My buddy in Tampa swore the moon landing was fake until I showed him the flag moving footage
We were at his place last Tuesday and he pulled up that old 'no stars in the photos' argument, so I found a NASA video explaining the flag's motion in a vacuum. Anyone have a better way to counter the 'van Allen belt radiation' claim he switched to?

Ever try the 'show them the moon rocks' trick?

Honestly, I just ask them to explain how the retroreflectors we left up there work. That usually stops the radiation talk because they have no idea what I'm talking about. It's a simple piece of tech that anyone on Earth with a laser can ping.

That's a solid move. I keep a link to the Apache Point Observatory's public data page on my phone. When someone goes down the rabbit hole, I just pull it up and show them the live lunar laser ranging results. It's hard to argue with a graph that updates in real time.
