My brother-in-law in Phoenix said his crew's new drone saves them 2 hours a day on site surveys

We were just talking about his work and he told me they got a DJI Matrice 30 for their big housing project. He said they used to spend half a morning walking the site, but now the drone maps it in 20 minutes. Has anyone else seen that big of a time save with site drones, or is his team just really good with it?

Our site in Austin cut survey time by 60% with a Phantom 4. That Matrice is a beast, so two hours sounds totally legit.

But is saving a couple hours really worth that much extra gear and hassle?

Totally agree, that time adds up fast (especially with travel between sites). We switched to drones for roof inspections and what used to take all morning is done before lunch.
