My solar panel microlnverter took a dive after 18 months of perfect operation
I installed a 3.2 kW system on my shop roof back in March 2023 and everything was running fine until last Tuesday morning. The Enphase IQ7+ just stopped sending data to the app and the panel was showing zero output. I checked the breaker, reset the whole system, even swapped the cable to rule out a bad connection but nothing got it working again. Honestly I'm wondering if these microinverters are just designed to fail right after warranty or if I just got a lemon from a bad batch. Has anyone else had an Enphase unit die this fast or am I the only one dealing with this?

Read somewhere those IQ7s have a known capacitor issue.

Man, that really stinks. I've got a buddy who had nearly the same thing happen with his IQ7s after about two years, so he'd probably tell you @jordan_henderson13 is onto something with that capacitor theory. I guess I should count my lucky stars mine are still chugging along, but who knows, maybe I'm just tempting fate here.

Yeah that is rough. Eighteen months is way too short for that kind of gear to die.
