PSA: My concrete timing guesses were a total fail until an app stepped in

Honestly, I thought tracking concrete sets by eye was good enough for small jobs. Tbh, we botched a driveway because it hardened too fast in the sun. A friend kept pushing this site app that watches the weather. Ngl, I rolled my eyes but tried it on a shed base last week. The app pinged my phone when to mix and pour based on real temps. We hit the sweet spot and the finish came out flawless. Now I swear by using tech for even simple pours.

Skimping on the gravel base is a classic mistake. You gotta COMPACT that layer properly or it'll sink in a year.
