Blew through 3 cheap blow dryers in 6 months at my chair in Austin

Finally gave up and bought a proper one after the third one started smoking mid-blowout on a client. Last one was a $40 drugstore brand. I was just trying to save money but it cost me more in the long run. Anyone else had a tool fail on them at the worst possible time?

Man that's rough. Its like that thing where you try to save a few bucks and it costs you double in the end. Happens with everything not just hair tools, like cheap shoes that fall apart or a budget phone that lags. You pay for quality eventually one way or another.

My friend Jenna bought this cheap straightener from a drugstore for like 15 bucks. First week it worked fine, then it started pulling her hair and making this weird burning smell. She had to throw it out and buy a really nice one from a salon supply store for like 80 dollars. Ended up spending way more total than if she just got the good one from the start. It's ALWAYS like that with anything you try to cheap out on.

@tessaperry nailed it. Cheap stuff just costs you more time and money.
