Client came in with orange brass bands from a box dye 4 weeks back, fixed it in one session
She'd been using a drugstore ash blonde on hair that already had old highlights, and the bleach spots grabbed way too cool while her roots went warm. I did a gentle soap cap for 10 minutes, then glossed with a neutral 9N for 15 minutes at the bowl and it evened out enough that she booked her next visit on the spot. Has anyone else had luck with a soap cap on porous ends like that, or do you go straight to a filler first?
