Had a bride tell me her last stylist ruined her hair 2 weeks before the wedding
Met with a bride last Saturday who paid $450 for a trial run at another salon and they left her with orange toned highlights and split ends, and now I'm stuck trying to fix it in just 14 days, anyone else deal with last minute damage control like this?

Paid $450 for orange highlights and split ends. That's not a stylist, that's a chemist who failed the class. You'd think for that kind of money they'd at least manage to get the toner right, not leave the bride looking like a strung out carrot. I hope you charge her double for the rescue mission, because fixing someone else's disasters always takes twice the time and triple the patience.

Exactly what @walker.julia said about the toner and no heat. Had a client last month with the same orange highlight mess except it was 10 days before her big event. She kept asking why she paid so much for someone to turn her into a pumpkin.

Start with a deep conditioning treatment right away and don't use any heat for the first week. That orange tone needs a blue or purple toner to neutralize it, but be gentle with the processing since the hair is already damaged. For the split ends, you're better off dusting the ends now rather than a full chop since you only have two weeks, and tell her to come back for a proper trim after the wedding. Focus on bond repair products in between sessions and keep her on a strict no heat schedule until the big day, even if she complains about the styling. Do you really think that other stylist charges $450 and can't even manage basic toning or are people just throwing money away these days?
