Switched from razor cutting to shears for fine hair after a friend dared me to try it

I actually read this thing a while back about how shears are supposed to be better for fine hair because razors can fray the ends and make them look thinner. My hairdresser told me she sees so many people with fine hair who switched to razors for texture and it just makes the problem worse in the long run. Shears give you a cleaner cut so the hair doesn't split up the shaft as fast. I guess that's why your friend dared you, because it feels like a big change but really it's the smarter way to go for fine strands. I hope you're liking the results so far because I've been tempted to make that same switch myself after reading all that.

Oh totally, I read a similar thing from some hair blogger who swore shears were way better for fine hair because razors just shred it up over time! It makes so much sense when you think about how fragile fine strands already are.

Oh yeah, my fine hair did the exact same thing and shears saved it completely!
